Some progress - but need more help

Ok, I got the driver for my WMP54GS card (linksys) installed using driverloader. It sees the card and I'm able to see networks in Suse 9.3.

THe only thing is, when I open Firefox, it says page not found meaning its not grabbing the information or something..

The signal strength says 80%.

but when i'm in the terminal screen, i type in cat /proc/net/wireless and get this

interface | status | link level noise
wlan0: | 0000 | 0 0 0

am i missing something???

i'll run lspci
and get

Network Control: Broadcom Corp: Unknown Device 4318 (rev02)

and lspci -v
Subsystem: Linksys: Unknown Device 0042
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, lateency 168, IRQ 11
Memory at d1004000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]

I think you're in right when you ask yourself "Have I forgotten something?"
Have you configured firefox to use the wireless router as gateway to the net??
