settings just disappear

I have recently installed FC3, mainly to try yet another Linux distro and also in an attempt to get my wireless working. Under slackware, no matter what I tried I couldn't get it working.

Ok, I have a broadcom chipset, a Belkin F5D7000Uk pci card. As such I downloaded Ndiswrapper 0.12 (this is the only one I have managed to get working for any amount of time.. )

So I installed this, the card was found, I set the settings and nothing worked. I checked my gateway, wasn't there, added it nothing. I use dhcp, it just wouldn't gather an IP Address.

So, I was messing with the wireless tools, adding/removing the card through the graphical interface. Nothing works.

I use iwconfig to set the essid and key but when I enter them, they are there for a second and then are lost. I don't do anything in between (so I presume something must be running to remove them.. )

Am just at a loss here, I think I am close but don't know what i am missing.

Have you checked out the FC3-specific install instructions over at the ndiswrapper wiki? Ignore the rpm bit if its still there. Its usually a WEP key problem, just the syntax might be wrong so if you are still having probs then post back your outputs from ifconfig and iwconfig as well as the way you are typing in the settings and I'll have another look. But please check out the wiki first.
Cheers
Chris
