setting up pcmcia-cs for DWL-650

I have pcmcia-cs installed in debian and there are config files in /etc/pcmcia/, also /etc/init.d/pcmica seems to be doing its job on bootup and so does cardmgr. I just cannot find a way to get the wireless interface up, any help?

D-Link DWL-650 on debian with kernel 2.6.8

Does "iwconfig" give you a wireless interface? I'm not sure about laptop's pcmcia but is the pcmcia the actual driver for the card or is it simply for detecting the card? If it's only for detecting the card do you have the right wireless driver as well?

iwconfig shows no wireless interfaces, and in /etc/pcmcia/config , there is a stanza for a DWL-650.
