secure wifi similar to android's disconnect secure wifi

I'd like to know if there's a program to install on my mint 17.2 64 that is secures wifi connections like in android "disconnect secure wifi"

and I would like something that I can "see" working in front of me on the taskbar or something. What are the famous examples?

I've installed this GUI GUFW. But I'm not convinced...since it's not "showing" me that it's working.

I'm looking for a firewall program or a wifi (securer?) security-related program.

Are there any other options? If I'm "asking the wrong question" or "got it all wrong" or "linux doesn't work like this" please guide me instead of mocking. Thanks.

This sounds like a VPN + proxy setup, I don't think you will find a gui that will show you the information you want.
