scan for wireless networks(any software?)

Hi,
I have just put a wireless usb adapter in my linux machine(suse 10)
Can anyone suggest me any software,tool or whatever so i can scan(search) if there is a wireless network close to me..?

well you could use Kismet but just for getting to know that whether there exists a wireless network, just use
iwlist scan
