Unhappy redhat 9 gigafast wireless dongle connection problems


Hi,

I have installed redhat 9. I was able to install the Gigafast wireless dongle.

When i type iwconfig I get the following lines

where xxx.....................-xx is the 128bit hex key for WEP

When I run ifconfig however, wlan0 is not visitble

I can connect to internet using eth0, but if I remove eth0, and want to connect o to internet wireless connection is not working

i tried restarting network, i got the following output

Shutting down interface eth0: [ OK ]
Shutting down loopback interface: [ OK ]
Setting network parameters: [ OK ]
Bringing up loopback interface: [ OK ]
Bringing up interface eth0: [ OK ]


I don't see my wlan0 wirless card there, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
