Redhat 8.0 Wireless Question.

Quick Question FOlks,

Any reason why an orinoco gold/silver could would not work with a netgear 801.11b wireless router? I have been fiddling around with netgear ma401 pcmcia cardbus and I cannot get it to work. I tried the kernel specific rpms and I still cannot get this card to activate.

Thanx for any assistance

Are you trying to use the MA401 as your wireless card? If so run

cardctl ident

This will tell you if you have the MA401RA or the MA401. They both ship in the same box but the RA uses the orinoco driver and the 401 uses something else.

What distro are you using becuase I got the 401RA to work in RedHat 8.0 without a hitch.
