Red hat 9 and D-link dwl-g120: driver install problem

Ok, I have no idea what to do.

On the d-link site, they said they support a linux driver on this USB wireless g adapter. (DWL-G120).

I run red hat 9, installed about a month ago. I got it from redhat.org or somthing like that. I have no idea what the kernel is except that in the /lib/modules/kernel/ there is a folder called 2.4.20-8. Hope that will help.

I have no idea how to install the driver. The site for the driver is located at
prism54.org. On the left hand side it says download prism54.

can someone give me a walkthrough and tell me what to download? Im new with linux.

My card is a usb card, D-link, DWL-G120 Revision A

This site tells that the card is linux supported.
support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=357

I have no idea what to download or what to do. I only know you have to download to the home folder of my root, (because root is nessecary to install), run terminal, and start commands. Can someone lead me through starting there?

It would be appreciated..

Hey,
Go to the site you mentioned, click the download link, the click on the link for the stable tarball.

I don't think it matters where you save it, I usually have a folder for all the Packages I download in my home directory (/home/tom).

Next, extract all the files from it. Right click on the tar file, and click Extract to..., then just extract it to the same directory.

Now, follow the readme that is in the folder of extracted files. I've never installed this driver myself, so I'm not a pro at this, but try all this stuff then post more questions with error messages if you get them.
