Questions about #modprobe ndiswrapper

I am using ndiswrapper and have been able to install my wifi card with the driver and all that good stuff. Everything works great except when I reboot my computer my wifi card stops working and to get my wifi card working again I have to type in the terminal modprobe ndiswrapper. With those two little words all is good again.

Can someone give me a brief run down on why this is and what exactly does modprobe ndiswrapper do? Is there a way to automate this everytime I boot up. Im using Back|Track 2.0.

Thanks for your advice and help

man modprobe

modprobe intelligently adds or remove a module from the Linux kernel.

ndiswrapper is a kernel module.

It appears that your system is not configured to auto load this module at boot.

I think BackTrack is based on SLAX ...

Sorry, I am not a Slackware user ... I believe someone here could help you further on configuring a module to autoload at boot.
