Puppy Linux - Can't connect to internet

Hi, I've got a problem which has got me stumped. I'm trying to install Puppy Linux 4.2.1 on a Compaq Evo N400c for my mother. It's running a BT Voyager 1065 PCMCIA wireless card.

I have run through the network setup wizard which detects my network and says it has connected. Auto DHCP doesn't work properly but I copied the settings across manually from my Vista laptop.

Using Auto DHCP doesn't get me anywhere, SeaMonkey says there's no internet connection and pinging anything gives me a bad address message. With the details entered manually both SeaMonkey and pinging attempts to connect but fails after a minute or two.

Strangely, although the card appears to be working (given that it can see my network) the lights don't flash as they do on the same laptop running XP.

I have posted further details in this thread - http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=45297

Any help would be gratefully received, this laptop runs amazingly fast with Puppy!

Did you load the bcm43 module and remove the bcm43XX? If so did it change anything?

On loading the b43 module it appears that is what Puppy was installing automatically.

It leaves me in the situation where I can see and connect to my network, auto DHCP gives me a strange set of numbers (all of which are invalid) and manually entering the right numbers makes the browser try to connect for a while then fail.
