Problems w/ WPC11 & ndiswrapper

I've gone through the setup procedures for WPC11 ndiswrapper, but the card still does not show up in either ifconfig or iwconfig.

Any ideas?

The computer is a Compaq Armada 7400 running Ubuntu Linux Warty Warthog release. I'm using the 2.6 kernel (pretty sure on this, not positive).

Networking does work through a Netgear PCMCIA card, under eth0.

Also, tried to compile wlan-ng but that failed with

I wasn't aware you need to do the make as root however I would perform it as such as I think this will solve your make errors. If it isnt showing up in ifconfig or iwconfig then can you say what was the response from ndiswrapper -l and what was the output after the modprobe?
