Hi, I'm installing this subsystem to get my Intel BG2200 wireless card working, but I'm having no luck. My kernel is up to date and built properly to suit the subsystem's requirements, but upon running the make on the subsystem, I'm getting no results. Here is the output:
Code:
root@laptop:/usr/src/ieee80211-1.1.14# make IEEE80211_INC=/usr/include
Checking in /lib/modules/2.6.5 for ieee80211 components...
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.5/build M=/usr/src/ieee80211-1.1.14 modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.5'
make[2]: `arch/i386/kernel/asm-offsets.s' is up to date.
Building modules, stage 2.
MODPOST
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.5'
This actually didn't look like an error to me at first. However, when I checked /usr/include/net for ieee80211.h that is required for my wireless card make, it wasn't there. It also wasn't in my /lib/modules/2.6.5/build/include/net folder. I don't know if that "arch/i386/kernel/asm-offsets.s' is up to date" line is the problem, but when I tried a hack method of installing the BG2200 driver by routing the make to look in the directory that I unpacked the ieee80211 subsystem tarball to, I got almost the same result. I then proceeded with the rest of the installation, by installing the firmware and running, no success.
Does anyone see the problem in what I just told you? Thanks for any help.
