Picking up my wifi with kubuntu???
 

I have a wifi connection here at home, and I just istalled Kubuntu on my laptop. It works fine, and it ROCKS!!! But it hardly connects to my wifi! Sometimes, it'll connect, and I can check my email, but it just times out again, and I get this error message:

"An error occurred while loading http://www.yahoo.com:

Unknown host www.yahoo.com"

I am using a desktop computer right now, which has a direct connection to the internet. That's how I'm posting on here.

More info: I opened up Wireless Assistant 0.5.5 and tried to connect to our network, but it says the connection failed. I tried another network without success. What's going on????

ok, nightmare over. I restarted and I may check my email... WHAT? No emails? then what did I go through all that for?

I'm having similar problems with WA 0.5.5. I'm using a WEP key on my router. I can see the connection but cannot connect (Connection Failed). I've run out of ideas about how to specify the WEP key - has anyone managed to make it work?
