PCMCIA wireless card does not connect to the router after finding the correct ESSID

I just installed NetGear MA521 with DriverLoader. After installing the drivers the Link light is on, so it means it found the router. I tried to connect to the internet but nothing works. After checking iwconfig it showed me that Link Quality:0. I changed to static ip, netmask and gateway but I don't know how to change DNS address manually. I'm using MandRake 10 and would need help setting my DNS? Anyway after changing everything except dns it still shows the Link Quality:0 but Link light is on hmmmm. I can't even ping 192.168.0.1 my router. m'I missing something? Also I'm using DriverLoader trial edition and after each time I restart my laptop I have to load the drivers again. I don't know if that's the way suppose to be for trial edition. Any help would be appreciated.
