PCI Wireless card

I want to get a new Wireless card, because my old one isn't natively supported. I was looking at PCI cards.

I do not want to use ndiswrapper, I am using that now. It is slow, (but it works).

What chipset and/or model work well, from your experience?

I have:
3-year-old Dell Dimension 4400 (Feb 2002) Desktop
i386 Intel Pentium IV

uname -r: 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4
Distro: Fedora Core 4

Different people will say different things as some people find a certain just works, others have to beat it with a big stick. ndiswrapper is pretty common, but it depends on what driver you are using with it. Maybe have a look at a more recent driver available to use or a newer version of ndiswrapper. Also, check out the HCL on this site for an overview of what cards work and what don't and which cards are straight forward to configure without much user intervention.
