orinoco_0.15 iwconfig monitor kismet ...

hi

i am sitting know i think about 9 hours infront of my laptop and just can get my orinoco based card working

ok i would like to use kismet. And yes i have red all those howto and manpages. i am using the 2.6.5 wolk kernel and downloaded orinoco_0.13d and patched it. Compiling this source gives some strange error. So i have tried 0.15 cause i have red that they support monitor mode, via iwconfig. compiling this modules has worked fine. Afterwards i have edited my /usr/bin/kismet_monitor file and changed the orionoco part so that it use iwconfig to enable monitor mode instead of iwpriv. This seems to work.

here is the output from kismet
Code:
Logging cisco product information to Kismet-Jun-08-2004-1.cisco
Logging data to Kismet-Jun-08-2004-1.dump
Writing data files to disk every 300 seconds.
Mangling encrypted and fuzzy data packets.
Reading AP manufacturer data and defaults from /etc/kismet/ap_manuf
Reading client manufacturer data and defaults from /etc/kismet/client_manuf

Crypt file format: airsnort (weak packet) dump

Done. Run kismet_unmonitor or eject and re-insert your card (or restart your
pcmcia services) to return your card to normal operation.
it seems that use of iwpriv is hardcoded into kismet...

i dont want to use the 2.4 kernel. There is only one patch out for 2.6.2 which hasnt worked for me. Is anyone using successful 2.6.5 whit patched orinoco modules???

Pleeeasse help me, any hints are apreciated..

sorry for my english...
