Orinoco Wireless PCMCIA card

Ok here is the senario:
I am running Mandrake 9.1 on an hp laptop Pavilion ze1230. I have a Siemens SS1021 Wireless 802.11b PCMCIA card, I have done much research on it and found out that I need to use the orinoco driver, although I completely suck at installing drivers in Linux. I have no clue how to install it. The README file told me to just make and make install as a su, but I get all kinds of errors. Help would be most appreciated.
