orinoco gold pcmcia with kernel 2.6.3-7
Hello everybody
I have mandrake 10 (kernel 2.6.3-7) installed on a Sony Vaio GRX670. I have configured almost everything to have my Wireless Orinoco Gold card working fine... (was OK on Mandrake 9.2 on same laptop) The card is recognized when checking hardware but the driver doesn't work. When plugging yhe PCMCIA card, I get message in /var/log/message: kernel: ath%%d: HAL ABI msmatch; driver expects 0x4050400, HAL reports 0x4030601 Result of lspci: 03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Unknown device 168c:0013 (rev 01) Has anybody an idea ? |
My broadband connection is via an orinoco gold (that machine is SuSE9 on a 2.4 kernel)
Mine isn't carbus though but 5V 16 bit PCMCIA, so I wonder if lspci is any use? so what does cardctl ident say? |
ok

In fact, my card was working fine in kernel 2.4, I had the problem with kernel 2.6.3.7 and has been solved by installing kernel 2.6.3.15...
