Orinoco card

Iam using knoppix live (3.7) from disk, the proplem i have is if i boot the disk with my orinoco classic gold card in, and my WEP on the router is enabled the card is not able to function, if i take the wep off and boot the system everything works fine?
anybody know why this is

Did you add the WEP details to Knoppix in the network setup area?
