now sampling 'Santa Fe'. STILL no internet useing wireless adapter!

Ive been sampling several different linux systems. The latest one is 'Santa Fe', LiveCd (with option to install to hard drive). The trouble is that I have not come across one system yet , other than Suse 9.3, that detects my wireless adapter! I would love to actually install one of these systems onto my hard disk but not if i cant get them to see and configure my anntenna! It is a Linksys WUSB1.1 wireless-G. Any suggestions?!

Oh, buy the way, I only said that, Suse RECOGNIZED it because i couldnt get connected to my gateway with HER either, until I finally said, "The Hell with it", and took the whole damn machine in the house and hardwired her directly to my router!!

What you are seeing is the end result of manufacturers refusing to write Linux drivers for thier gear. All Linux distro's work more or less equally well (or poorly) with wireless cards. As far as I can tell, distro hopping doesn't really get you anywhere. You need to dig into what Linux drivers do exist for that card or if you need to use a Windows driver through ndiswrapper or linuxant. Once you've got a handle on what driver you need to use, you can settle on a distro for other reasons.
