No /etc/network/interfaces File Present ---> Fedora FC4

I'm a Linux newbie and I just recently got my Dell Latitude notebook (1.8GHz, 512M) up and running with Fedora FC4. I also got my network card set up and working with Ndiswrapper + windows driver. I wanted to have my wlan0 interface brought up automatically upon startup. I did a google search to see how I could do so and evry single document/help site I went to referred to making changes to my /etc/network/interfaces file. The only thing is that this file does not exist on my system. In fact, /etc exists of course, however there isn't even the "network" under it.
1) Has this changed significantly in the more recent versions of Fedora ?
2) Am I missing a package or something ?
3) Is there an alternative as to how I can start up my wlan0 interface automatically ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not at all. /etc/network/interfaces is just a Debianism. RH.*L use different scheme where per-device info is in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-$DEVICENAME, which is hardlinked as /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-$DEVICENAME. Open the one you need, like ifcfg-wlan0, in a text editor, change the "onboot" setting, save. That's all.

Ahhh, thanks a bunch. I had already changed ONBOOT=yes but I didn't know how and why this all worked. Your explanation really helped clarify certain things for me. Thanks.
