I want to buy a Notebook (Acer Aspire 1501LMi) with WLAN support so I was searching for a Wireless Router because I still don't have WLAN-Network.

And it says that:

Could anybody confirm that please, that would be great.
I still don't believe it because I downloaded the Technical Specifications and it discribes how to connect to it with every OS appart of Unix or Linux!
Please help me, confused....

As it's an access point, any os can use it. What you need is a wireless card that is supported in linux.

On a sidenote, it's likely that the AP is actually a cut down pc running linux. My Netgear DG834 certainly is
