life was good......It worked...and then.....
Here is what I did. Bought a netgear ma521. Got it to work. I needed the drivers from the reltek site. Downloaded and compiled them and away I went. I fudged my install of Suse 8.2. Reloaded it. Went back to the realtek site and Bam...the drivers are gone.
There are new ones posted for linux but they blow out during the compile (methinks they are geared towards redhat) the Readme file still lists a driver for suse but I can't find it. I've dug around the very uninteresting realtek site and come up with nothing. I've tried digging around their mirror'd sites hoping to find an old copy but nothing. If anyone has the old driver rtl8180_24x_Suse.zip and they would be willing to email it to
drhale@mindspring.com I would be very appreciative...that way I can get wireless working, keep my install of suse, keep my wife happy, keep xp off my laptop, and not go buy another card....
Thanks
Randy
