now plugged
toshi:/home/denis# ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
mrv8ka51 driver present, hardware present
toshi:/home/denis# ifconfig wlan0 up
wlan0: ERROR while getting interface flags: Aucun périphérique de ce type

toshi:/home/denis# ndiswrapper-buginfo
gives that :

Dude, I think you forgot to load the module into the kernel.

I wrote documentation on how to install my Netgear card.

http://studentweb.usq.edu.au/home/W0009132/docs/

Scroll down to Ubuntu (Should be very close to your Debian problem).

Hi,

You are write itis working now. It is so simple. I am sorry but heven didn't had the idea that after launching ndiswraper there where something else to do.
If I understand well, and excuse my ignorance :
ndiswrapper -m build a link for the kernel to say : If the device known by this driver is present then it is the wlan0 interface for the network. Is that correct ?

Now I just have to configure it (mean wlan0)? I defined the IP adress, mask and passerel (same as for eth0, I don't think it should be different). I will check that on the net.

Thanks very much for this.

Denis
