Need Help with KwifiManager

Okay,

I'm pretty new to linux. I have been using knoppix for about a week and now I am dual booting with Mandriva 2005 LE on my laptop. I learned how to set up Ndiswrapper and Kwifi recognizes my card with the bcmwl5.inf drivers and everything. It would seem to most people that setting up Ndiswrapper would be more complicated than the issue I am about to present. KwifiManager does not seem to connect automatically and when I scan for networks and select one and then click "ok", nothing changes. What am I doing wrong, I got so far on my own but now I am just stuck. How do I get KwifiManager to work and if not is there any other Wifi manager for linux that I can use?

Thanks

Have to tried to scan from the command prompt or verified the card is active? use iwconfig wlan0 to check the card. use iwlist wlan0 scan to scan from command prompt. I was able to succesfully set up a netgear wg311 v2 card with ndiswrapper, but my connectivity was erratic and went down the toilet the more I messed with it. I wouldn't assume that kwifi is the issue.

Thanks for the help but now I have another issue. Ndiswrapper was great and all but the next time I booted up my computer, the card was not already active like I asumed it would be. Ndiswrapper tells me the drivers are still installed, but I don't know how to relaod the module to make the interface active. So now i need to learn how to make the drivers active, every time I boot up. can anyone help me out with this?

Okay, i figure out how to load the module and i got my wifi card up and running. I got it as far as to see my ap using iwconfig wlan0 essid NameOfMyAP. My problem now is that i still have no internet connection. Kwifi manager displays my AP name but under local IP it still says unavailable. dhclient wlan0 option tries to work but it doesn'y for some reason. then at the very end it says \sbin\dhclient- something something and it says configuration for wlan0 not found. I'm getting pretty close but I'm still not there yet, someone help me get my broadcom card to work!
