Need help for wireless connection, pls

Hi everyone,

I am very new to Linux, it is my first time using Linux. I just installed Fedora 5 on my Fujitsu laptop, I have a SMC router and want to use wireless connection. I really dont' know where to setup? Also, the resolution that I have right now is only 600x800, I guess Linux haven't pick up the video card yet. Can someone pls help me? I will very appreciated....

Thank,

We'll need to know which wireless card your using. If possible, boot linux and post the output of the command lspci -v. Check the HCL if you haven't got a wireless card, that way you'll get one that is well supported. If you also want video help, the output of lspci will help us determine your video card chipset and how to get a higher resolution

Can you boot a live linux CD like knoppix and then run the command lspci -v, then post the info into this thread.

And, from now on. Don't post the same question twice (or 3 times). There is a link to the rules at the bottom of the page.
