need help connecting debian squeeze to the wireless internet
i am using debian on my laptop in school and they just changed everything to the XpressConnect application to automatically connect you to the internet, because it's secured to where you need to enter your username to connect to the internet in windows it's looks like it won't be real easy trying to do this. in the past i have seen it working in ubuntu but maybe because there are some extra programs installed on it
if anyone here is familiar with XpressConnect and CloudPath networks i need some help using their program in debian |
Hi baronobeefdip, Have you contacted the IT dept. to ask if they have access available via Linux? What school are you attempting to connect to?
Good luck. ;-) |
Has the Debian wireless been tested and proven to work elsewhere?
If not, what kind of wireless chip do you have (the command lspci should reveal that)? |
