ndiswrapper won't load on startup

I'm running Kubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, and I have a laptop with a Marvell PCMCIA card. I can't get wireless to work as it should because the ndiswrapper module doesn't load on startup. I can load it explicitly with insmod, but I need to do that after each reboot and so that's not a real solution to the problem. The ndiswrapper.ko module seems to be in the right place, and it's also listed in /etc/modules. So what do I need to do to get ndiswrapper to load when the computer starts up?

Adding the module to initrd should fix the issue for you. Simply rebuild the initrd with "--with" options. Correct me if initrd is not really a kubuntu thing.

$man mkinitrd

I use the following commands to install ndiswrapper in my computer:

make install

ndiswrapper -m
ndiswrapper -ma
ndiswrapper -mi
modprobe ndiswrapper

I don't know if that can solve your problem.
I tried several methods, and now it is automatically loaded in my computer now.

modules, ndiswrapper
