ndiswrapper suse 9.2 module not found

I have suse 9.2 proffesional and i have the version of ndiswrapper that came with that installed. I can install the driver fine and it says hardware is present but when I type modprobe ndiswrapper it says module not found.

Plz note I am a complete noob at linux so u will probably have to tell me exactly what to do as I porably won't know what u are talking about

depending on the wireless card you are using , you do not need ndiswrapper in SuSE 9.2 probe. Fire up YaST and see if your wireless adapter is configured properly. Also, check the installed docs to see if your card is on the HCL (hardware compatibility list).

Hope this helps

Its based on a broadcom chipset and is made by belkin so there are no drivers though the card is supposed to work with ndiswrapper

you can find the source code for ndiswrapper at sourceforge.net. The broadcom drivers will be another thing, but I would look at http://www.linuxant.com/drivers_bcmwl/ for the driver...then follow the instructions for ndiswrapper found on the web site.

Cheers

Yeah i think I know whats wrong. I tryed to install suse 9.2 on a p3 laptop and for some reason it wouldn't workat the time I couldn't see why at the time. Well anyway I noticed on my main comp that it said x86_64 so the version i had was 64 bit. These damn filenames arn't clear which version you are downloading. I thought I was installing the 32 bit version. Anyway i think I will try to donwload the 32 bit version suse 9.2. i could use that driver loader thing but it costs money and I am more familiar with ndiswrapper. Anyway thanks for your help.
