Hello-
I have a WMP11 wireless card. The OS that I'm using is Fedora Core 2 with the 2.6.5-1.358 kernel. I'm trying to make wireless internet work on my system. I tried linux-wlan already, it didn't compile. I decided to use ndiswrapper. I added the .inf file to it, and there is a directory for the driverrs and config files, but it says that the hardware isn't present. Here is the output-
Code:
[root@goldeneye root]# ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
wmp11nds hardware NOT present
[root@goldeneye root]#
So I tried to use the Network Configuration wizard that's in fedora. It's able to make the device, and it comes up as wlan0, but when you try to activate it, you get this error message-
Code:
ndiswrapper device wlan0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.
I know the card works, because I used it in W2K for a while. Can anyone help me?
