Switcing from G to B
Alright, i'm running slackware 10.0 and i just compiled kernel 2.6.8.1.
I'm running ndiswrapper with the drivers i got from dell's web site. It all seems to be working fine but this card is an a/b/g card it's defaulting to 802.11G. I am using a B ap here and i need to know how to tell it to use the B. Does anyone know how to do this? I've been searching all night and havn't found anything.

Well, i'm not even too sure now that that's my problem. Now it's saying that it's running 802.11a. that was a pretty random switch there. I just can't get it to see my ap. i do iwlist wlan0 scan and it doesn't find anything.

Did you set your essid before you scanned?
BTW that switch in a/b/g is the switch in speed that's because of some noise through the signal.

Hi there,
I have a Dell Inspiron 9200 with a Dell TrueMobile 1450 installed, I would love to get this working with linux.
You mentioned downloading drivers from Dell's website. Can you point me in the right direction.
I cannot find them anywhere.
Any clues would be welcome
Thanks
Trellick

ndiswrapper uses the Windows drivers, since no Linux drivers exist for Broadcom cards. Follow the instructions at the ndiswrapper site, especially the wiki link and the README file. There are many, many previous ndiswrapper thread in this forum as well.
