ndiswrapper and BCM4309 (truemobile 1400) error while booting

I am a total newbie to linux. I recently installed FC2 (kernel-2.6.6) on my Dell 5150 laptop.

Since my wireless card is unsupported in linux I downloaded ndiswrapper and tried to install the windows driver (the driver I downloaded from ndiswrapper website after checking the output of lspci) as suggested by many in the newsgroups.

Everything went well during installation without any errors and after seting up essid and key I typed "ndiswrapper -m". Now I can see the card in the hardware tab of network (start->system settings->network). I tried to set up internet using internet configuration wizard but it did not work. I got the following message while booting.
_______________________________________________
Error for wireles request: SET encode "8B2A"
SET failed for wlan0, invalid argument

Does anyone have any idea of what the error means? Or any idea of what went wrong with my setup?
