(maybe this question is: how to switch between eth0 & WLAN 'quickly'?) with SuSE 9.1
PROBLEM: I have eth0 config'd & running fine; then add config for WLAN and eth0 won't initialize on boot.
on reboot, eth0 not initialized until i run dhcpcd -k , then -n. (or i delete WLAN ifcfg file). b4 adding WLAN, eth0 works fine, and WLAN works fine after the setup below... =========================== i'm looking to understand how i can ADD WLAN & change it depending on the AP... BUT... leave the eth0 config intact and working. =========================== (maybe this question is: how to switch between eth0 & WLAN 'quickly'?) with SuSE 9.1 Personal. via YaST2? Toshiba A45-S130 / Intel Corp. 82801BD PRO/100 VE (MOB) Ethernet Controller / Askey AR5212 802.11abg NIC =========================== using YaST2... Control Center -> Yast2 Modules -> Network Devices -> Network Card ->Configure -> then Edit Hostname & Name Server... to ADD WLAN card... creates /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-xxx for the WLAN. and... there seems to be only one set of settings for YaST2 Name Servers & Domain Search List ?? (or only one config of /etc/resolv.conf at a time??) |
