Making my linux box a wireless router?
I was trying to make my linux box a wireless router by turning ad-hoc on.
I enabled ad-hoc, and then connected my windows box to it fine. On windows, I pinged the address wlan0 was bound to, and got no replies. Why didn't ad-hoc networking work? How do I set it up? Thanks |
If your card supports it, use the hostap driver and put the wireless in master mode. That way, it's acting as an access point vs. ad hoc.
