MADWiFi make Please enable sysctl support

Hi all,

I'm having a problem building MADWiFi from source for a Fujitsu laptop running Red Hat 9.0 with a vmlinuz-2.4.20-8smp kernel. When I run 'make' I get the following error:

Checking if all requirements are met... FAILED
Please enable sysctl support.

I read the make pages for sysctl and serched this forum but, so far, I have run accross an answer. I know this problem has got to have a simple solution. Does anyone have any pointers for me?

TIA
Ron Smith

I found the solution by running: 'make config' or 'make xconfig' as root in the directory "/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8/". This directory may be different for anyone else reading this. But I was able to enable "sysctl" along with "wireless extensions" from there wih 'make xconfig'.
