Hi everybody,

From the madwifi project SOURCE/README -drivers for Atheros chipset based wireless cards:

Note however that the net80211 layer is
device-independent; there is no reason it cannot be used with any
802.11 device (in fact on BSD systems this is the case).
Isn't something like this -802.11 support- already implemented in the Linux kernel? Are "wireless tools" something different from the "net80211 layer" the madwifi poet refers too?
