Looking for highly recommended USB WLAN Adapter...

So this is strange for me. I have a Linux laptop that runs amazingly quick over a WLAN and I have a Linux PC using the Linksys WUSB 11 adapter and is very slow. Painfully slow. Since I did both installs from same media all I can conclude is that it's an adapter/driver problem.

Is there is Linux supported USB adapter that is known for speed and performance on Linux, Mandrake Linux to be specific?
