Linksys WUSB54G Wireless Network Adapter + kubuntu

Hi,
I'm a fairly new user to linux, and I've never had the experience of setting up a wireless network. I use a linksys WUSB54G Wireless-G USB Network Adapter and Kubuntu Linux. I don't have a clue where to start or what I need. The only disc that came with it was an installer for windows, and I don't think linksys has tech support for Linux. Does anyone know how I can get this working?

Thanks!

You need to download and install the ndiswrapper package for that card to work.

Ndiswrapper can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/ just enter "ndiswrapper" in the search bar on the left. It will take you to the project page, from which you can download.

After downloading, follow the installation instructions at this site: http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...p/Installation

You also want to check what version of that card you have. There are Ver 1, 2 and 4. I have a Ver 1, which is from July 2004. Check the linksys site for more details on the versions.

Hope this helps!
