Linksys wireless USB adapter not working
 
Linksys wireless USB adapter not working with my DSL USB stick :( Im a pretty new linux user and this is my first sucessful time to create a bootable USB and I am not sure how to proceed with the networking. Ive trying the control panel network card detecters and such but none see the usb adapter. anyone have any suggestions in simple non-techie english? (linux=techie i know but im confused enough alrdy lol)

sad thing is i have to use my windows to post this.. :( usb works fine for windows but doesnt seem to want to be easy for me.. :cry:

I'm not sure if you're still working on this or not, but some more info would probably help.

I use Fedora so things may be a little different, but you could try lsusb (if you don't have it installed you can you `yum install usb-utils' or do a search for it).

After that, it will tell you some information about your usb card if it can see it.

I'm not sure if you've already had the card working in the past, if not then I'd use ndiswrapper, following the instructions and getting the driver they recommend (using the output from lsusb) to do the install.
