Angry Linksys Wireless Usb Adapter--cannot connect

I want DSL to connect to the net using a linksys wireless usb adapter WUSB11 Ver 2.5 [believe Prism chip]. DSl Control Panel shows Ndiswrapper, Prism2,and IW Config all with incorrect channel, essid etc info and they will not accept correct info. I managed to get the Linksys .inf and .sys files into ndiswrapper but both show Hardware Not Present and one green Adapter light is not on. Please help me connect . thanks P S Ndiswrapper-m says modprobe config contains alias directive. How can I find out what this directive says?
