Unhappy linksys wireless b not working - please help

my computer is directly connected to cable modem. I have two routers - one is a linksys wireless b (befw11s4), the other is a linksys broadband router (rt31p2). I have voip so thus the two routers.

My son has the linksys wireless on his system. he can access the internet if he boots in winxp, but not if he boots in edubutu.

I am completely ignorant about linux - PLEASE, can someone shed some light on this to help me out.

I have searched the internet, and am getting nowhere. I am willing to learn.

I posted yesterday and received no replies yet.

What type wireless network card is in the laptop?

http://tuxmobil.org/ is a very helpful website for mobile Linux installations.

Assuming it's a laptop...

Either way, ndiswrapper might be a good solution.

Ok. looked in above links. Still no help. Does it matter that this is a USB connection?

Sorry I DID Assume. We know what that means.

Realtek's wireless products page might help. I looked at the only item listed as usb and ther are Linux kernel drivers available.
