Linksys-Cisco WRT54GL Wireless-G Broadband Router (Compatible with Linux)

Here's the deal:

I have a Comcast bundle--phone, Linux PC laptop, TV

I have an iMac in another room with firewall and built in wireless capability.

The router must be cross-platform and Linux capable. Is this router in the subject line a good one? If not, got any recommendations?

cheers

Routers don't "support" any operating system any more than the Internet itself does. They are network devices and operate below the software layer. Any TCP/IP capable OS can be used with any router.

That said, the particular router you mention actually runs Linux, and is one of the best consumer routers you can get (especially with alternate firmware like DD-WRT), so it would be an excellent choice.
