Linix WIFI
 

On my laptop i am trying to get my WIFI USB link working. Whatever i do, it WONT work..

i have 11MBIT Sitecom USB wireless adapter. Does anybody know how to fix my problem?


The errors are within the MAKE process, cannot compile crap and after make install there is no wlan1 device.

More info: Sitecom WL-012 is the type.

If you get errors during the make, you needn't bother trying to make install. It won't work. Posting the errors would be more helpful.

Do you have the kernel source and headers installed so that you can compile source packages? If not, again, it won't work.

Your posting sig indicates RH 9. If so, you might try the rpms for the wlan_ng package .

Finally, I suggest using the orinoco driver with Prism wireless devices rather than wlan_ng. It's probably already loaded on your system.
