Lenovo Y570 immediately shuts down, when WIFI in monitor mode (Mint 13)
 

I am using aircrack-ng on Linux MINT13 for some packet tracking and when I set my card to monitor mode with (airmon-ng start wlan0), it crashes after some time, and does so until I stop it (airmon-ng stop wlan0). The computer just immediately shuts down. Which log files should I look at? I was looking at /var/log/kern.log but I didn't notice anything wrong with wlan0.
