kwifimanager doesn't save settings

Greetings. I'm running KDE3.3.1 with the 2.6.9 kernel on Mepis and I'm having a problem that is pretty much described by the subject of this post. No matter what I enter for Config 1 or 2, and after hitting Apply, the settings aren't saved. When I go back to the configuration editor, they are all blank. Anyone have an idea what's going on? (I'm using Ndiswrapper .12 with my broadcom chip if it matters)

On another note, it stays at 98% even when I'm far away from my router. It does, however, list 2 available networks (mine and a neighbor's) so it seems like it can communicate somewhat with my network card.

Edit: Also, iwlist wlan0 scan shows my home router at -49dB and my neighbor's at -77 so it appears the signal strength information is available though not shown in kwifimanager.

Edit2: I noticed that you can select to see signal strength using an alternate signal strength calculation which does change (the percent didn't but this does). It seems to go from 225 at the best to about 170 at the worst when I can't seem to browse anymore since I'm too far away.

Well, I found the site where the kwifimanager author addresses bugs. He says there's a bug in the current version (3.3.1) so you can't save configurations. The next version should fix it.

Also, the 3.4 version of KDE will have a new wifimanager program that supposedly will work better.
