Knoppix and ADM wireless card driver
.:i don't mean to repost this, just realized i had it in the wrong place:.
hi guys, i've downloaded and used Debian, breifly, and i downloaded damn small linux, its cool....i had been reading about Knoppix and tried it and well, I WANT KNOPPIX ...hehe, but see, i need it to work with my wireless card first, i have located the driver that i believe works with it, i have a
blitzz wavepoint pc cardbus wireless pcmcia card
in posts here and other places, people have said the ADMtek driver (provided by them and i've downloaded) will work with my card, although, i am so new to linux that um, well, maybe i'm a vegitable-windows-user compared to y'all, but
i was hoping someone could "compile" it for me or whatever it is needed so the driver would be usuable for me
i want to use knoppix, so, is knoppix enough "Debian" that if the driver was produced from the source for Debian, it would work for me? or would someone have to compile it in Knoppix to use it in Knoppix?
hmm, i like knoppix enough to drop windows xp for a time and have some fun with it, but i am too intimidated by linux to try to install anything beyond of what Knoppix comes with...it wouldn't take anything from Linux to make it easier to use.....it is pure hell for us vegitable-windows-users
but i like knoppix nonetheless, and *sighs* here i am hackin' away at it till its mine MUAHAHAHAHAHA
oh and for a special question, could a driver be "installed" and used in knoppix's "booted from cd" form?
