Kismet not working with realtek driver

I am trying to run kismet on my laptop at home, It just happens to have a realtek wireless card that uses the "trl8192ce" driver, I am assuming that this is a relatively new driver since the computer lists the chipset as unknown. Is there a way to get this chipset of the wireless card to work in kismet because various google searches have turned up nothing. I am using the version of kismet that was available in the debian repositories, if there is better support for this wireless card in newer version than i need some help installing from source, I have tried to install from source earlier but there was no successes
