kismet not working

Hi!
I've installed kismet on my gentoo-sys but when I start it I get following error:

Server options: none
Client options: none
Starting server...
Waiting for server to start before startuing UI...
Will drop privs to merlin (1000) gid 100
No specific sources given to be enabled, all will be enabled.
Enabling channel hopping.
Enabling channel splitting.
FATAL: Unknown capture source type 'ipw2100' in source 'ipw2100,eth1,wlansource'

could anybody help me perhaps what to do?
I was looking for something similar to netstumbler but working on linux and heard that kismet is a very nice tool ...
I have this Intel Pro 2100 Mini Adapter on my Centrino-notebook...
I'm not sure if kismet supports this...

Did you compile kismet with support for that card?
Search the forum a little more i know a few others are having issues with kismet+that card.
