Thumbs up Kismet Intel Wireless WiFI Link 4965agn


Hello all expert Linux administrator, i have a noob question about kismet configuration.

My friends has a laptop where he bought it recently.

The model of wireless card is Intel Wireless WiFI Link 4965AGN.

I don't know how to configure kismet to capture the packet.

I hope you can guide me by step by step.

Thanks for your help.

Your help is greatly appreciated by me and others.

What Your'e running on said laptop?

Is it LINUX? Would You be so glad to fill up Your profile with the Linux distribution You are using, etc. ? You might get help that way more quickly

I'm having the same problem

I'm having the exact same problem... any help will be apreciate.

uname -a return:
Linux wells-laptop 2.6.24-21-generic #1 SMP Mon Aug 25 16:57:51 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

lspci return:
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Attansic Technology Corp. Unknown device 1026 (rev b0)
08:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection (rev 61)

so this is a laptop acer 6920 running ubuntu 8.04
