IWS Mesh System
I have been ask to assist in the setup of a wireless mesh system using equipment from strixsystems.com and a Cisco 1721 router. The church wants the wireless system to be able to handle all networking jobs other than routing and doesnt want to deal with cabling. The IWS wireless mesh has been implemented but they are unable to create VLANS
using this piece of hardware. I was considering using a Cisco Express Catalyst 500 or a low end Catalyst 2960 switch and connect it directly to this IWS from strixsystems and create VLANS. My question is:
Has anyone ever worked with wireless mesh systems and better strixsystem equipment and is will it work with Cisco 500 & 2960 Catalyst switches. This is how it is setup:
